I love when it’s the Easter candy time of season because mama Lentz always, without fail, keeps a stash of Cadbury Creme Eggs hidden around the house.
The Christmas cabinet above the refrigerator mom? Not your best effort. I always check the tall people hiding places first. Better luck next time.
So last night I spent a solid chunk of time trying to figure out the piano part to a youtube song that I listened to for the first time and really liked. It was one of those songs you hear, and stays stuck in your head for about an hour or two later. But by that point, I had tweaked the lyrics a little, and liked them so much I decided I needed to learn the piano part so I could pitch it to Chris for the next time we sing together and sweet talk him into writing a guitar part to it. Maybe even visit his make-shift recording studio and record a version of it to send to the original artist for kicks and giggles. Anyway after about four hours I only managed to scribble down the sheet music for the intro, the the first verse and the chorus. A solid effort. I will be working on it all next week, as I’m pretty sure I already sold Chris on the song. [: If all works out as I hope, then I may be posting a video of us with the finished product. Think productive thoughts!
What a lovely Sunday to a lovely weekend. I love visiting teaching. I love the church. I absolutely adore the proclamation of the family. It really is quite a blessing for us to have such a guideline for how we should conduct ourselves within the family. And it is so important for everyone to have a knowledge or understanding of it. I am so blessed to be a child of God.
